We support Doctors Without Borders instead of meaningless gifts, which is why we have once again donated the budget previously spent on promotional items and Christmas cards this year.

Iraq: The emergency hospital in Sulaymaniyah receives comprehensive support from Doctors Without Borders. It is the only medical facility in the region capable of treating acute patients and performing surgical procedures.

For years, people in Iraq and Syria have suffered from war and violence. Doctors Without Borders provides impartial and neutral aid in both civil war countries and performs surgeries on many injured individuals. During the heavy fighting around the Iraqi city of Mosul, teams from the organization set up several clinics with operating theaters close to the front lines. Doctors Without Borders also operates four hospitals in northern Syria where emergency surgeries, among other procedures, are carried out. Patients requiring follow-up operations can be transferred to a specialized Doctors Without Borders facility in the Jordanian capital, Amman. Worldwide, Doctors Without Borders operates on more than 90,000 patients each year.

If you are also looking for a meaningful and life-saving way to put funds to good use: Doctors Without Borders, Christmas donation.
