For decades, the standard screw cap featuring a hollow-bead seal served as the benchmark closure for laboratory bottles: robust, reliable, and practical in daily handling. This classic design is now being superseded by a refined cap variant featuring an integrated conical seal.

Key advantages of the updated closure design:

  • Ergonomics: Smoother thread engagement and improved gripping ribs ensure reliable handling, even when wearing protective laboratory gloves.
  • Security: The sealing point provides clear tactile feedback when closed. Furthermore, the updated geometry supports defined application torque for both manual and automated capping processes.
  • Hygiene: A redesigned cap top minimizes accumulation points for residues and dirt. The raw material holds pharmaceutical approval, and the finished cap complies with food-contact regulations.
  • Downstream efficiency: The flat cap surface accommodates adhesive labels and coding, while existing automated capping equipment can generally be used without modification.

The transition will take place progressively during April. Once remaining stock of the previous model is depleted, only the updated version will be supplied. Please contact us at any time if you have questions regarding the transition.
